Happy 7 Months to Greyson

Happy 7 months to Grey Grey today!! What a joy each day is with him! His smile is just priceless and he is almost always ready to give you one. He is scooting across the floor pretty good on his belly and he is fast! This is SO much sooner than Tyler and Scott but, it's fun to watch him. He's sitting up pretty well on his own, too. He loves to blow bubbles and makes noises with his mouth. He loves his brothers and enjoys watching their every move. Robbie had him in the mix tonight while they were play fighting and tickling each other. Greyson loved it! Here is a picture of Greyson when he woke up from his morning nap this morning. He has just started going from laying down to sitting up all by himself. He's just growing up and doing things way too fast! It's great but I just wish he'd stay little! :)

What have we been up to?

Hey everyone!! It's been a busy last few weeks and I've been taking some fun pictures of the boys...unlike my last post! :) Life is busy as it is for so many of us, but we are having fun along the way. Tyler and Scott are so excited about Christmas and we have had a fun last few days of decorating. We've stretched it out over Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and today! Tyler stayed home from school on Monday because he had a bad cough and it was a great day at home with all 3 of them. It was so fun seeing their excitement in "helping" me decorate.

We had a good Thanksgiving with family and Greyson was a trooper. There was little time for naps that day but he managed to fall asleep in my arms twice after being so exhausted! The Monday before Thanksgiving we got to go to Saluda Shoals for a sneak peek at the lights they have every Christmas. We ate some yummy food, when on a carriage ride through the park to see the lights, and rode on the fun new inner tube ride they have this year.

Greyson is growing up more and more everyday. He currently has his 2nd ear infection, which is no fun at all. He had his first one in his right ear 3 weeks ago and now he has one in his left ear. This is SO much earlier than they other 2 were when they had their first one. He is such a happy baby most of the time that I knew something wasn't right yesterday when he just wasn't himself. Thank goodness for antibiotics!

Here are just some recent pictures from various times throughout the last few weeks.

The boys and I made a turkey and everyone had to write something they were thankful for on one of the feathers. It was fun seeing everyone's response...I think we just started a new tradition! :) I love traditions!!!

Greyson is 6 months old (plus one week)

Greyson turned 6 months old last Saturday! He is half way to a year old and it blows my mind! I hope these next 6 months don't go by as fast but I have a feeling they will. :( He is learning to sit up and can do it alone for about 10-20 seconds. He is rolling all over the place and inches his way towards toys and other things he sees. He is quick and we call him "wild" sometimes because he's constantly looking for something to grab within reach. At his 6 month check up this past week, he weighed in at 16lbs 14oz and was 27 1/4 inches long. He was still only in the 25% for weight (which I was surprised about) but was 75% for height. He has a big head....90%!!! :) The boy loves to eat and is eating 3 meals a day. He's tried rice cereal, oatmeal, applesauce, bananas, pears, peaches, squash, carrots, peas, and green beans. Did I already mention that the boys LOVES to eat!! :) I've been terrible about getting some pictures of just him this week. This past week was unusually extra busy so I will try and get some better ones this coming week. Hopefully he won't be mad at me one day! :) The 3rd child gets jipped on pictures sometimes....right Katie??

Playing with my brother's trains is so much fun! I have an identical picture of Scott doing this same thing when he was this age. Tyler got frustrated at Scott for messing up his track then, and Scott was doing the same thing with Greyson! :)

Happy Halloween

The boys have had a fun few days! On Wednesday night we went to Boo at the Zoo where they collected candy, saw a magic show, went through a maze and enjoyed the lights. Scott had a fall party at school where he picked a pumpkin from the "patch" and had a yummy snack. This morning Scott had his final soccer game of the season. He played hard and had a great time! It has been amazing to watch him this season as he went from timid and not so sure about this soccer stuff to getting out there, running hard and having a lot of fun. He got his very first trophy and he was so proud! :) The boys participated in the good ole fashion trick or treating tonight and collected lots of yummy candy. My cousin Amanda was here to join in the fun, too. They have loved having her here! Here are some pictures of my Clemson baseball player, Superman and the drooling Pumpkin. There will also be a couple pictures of Scott receiving his trophy.

Fall and the fair

Wow, I can't believe how much I've been updating our blog lately!! I'm usually not this good with it but I guess we've just had a lot of fun things going on lately so it makes it fun to share pictures. I took some cute pics of the boys on the front porch and then yesterday we took a trip to the fair. It was very cold at first but we were bundled up. The boys only rode 2 rides and enjoyed a neat magic show. Of course we ate corn dogs, donuts and cotton candy!! Yummy! Here are a few pics:

Scott is 4 years old

Scott turned 4 years old on Saturday! Wow, it's hard to believe he is already 4. It seems like yesterday I was pregnant with him and that he was just born. As I think back to that pregnancy and the day he was born, it was all so up in the air. He tricked us several times into thinking he was coming and finally arrived at 36 weeks 5 days at a whopping 5lbs 15oz. He was a firecracker then with that little bit of red hair gleaming and he still is a ball of fun with some strong will thrown in there! His unpredictable personality keeps life interesting. We never really know what's going through that little head of his. He will impress us sometimes with some very smart insights and other times he will say something to make us roll with laughter. He loves super heroes, cars, trucks, balls, and well just about anything boy!! He can act shy or be the life of the party. Scott is sandwiched in between 2 brothers that he adores and he fits the role of a middle child quite well! We love our little red head and had a blast celebrating 4 years with him on Saturday. He had a pirate theme party at a local park. It was a lot of fun and the weather was perfect! The children went on a treasure hunt and went digging for "gold". Here are a few pictures to share.

Greyson is 5 months old!

Greyson is 5 months old today! He is such a happy baby and is growing like a weed! Greyson loves playing on the floor and rolling around. He loves his big brothers and was so cute laughing at Tyler tonight. He was giggling at Tyler acting silly. He loves to laugh and smile at Scott, too. The boys get in his face quite often but do not like it when Greyson grabs at their hair or face! :) Greyson's most favorite thing in the world are his toes!! He loves to eat them and will even fall asleep with them in the air after eating them and then drifting off to sleep. It's so cute! Here are some recent pictures.

Life=Crazy Lately

Well, it's been several weeks since I've updated our blog and I guess that's because life has been a little crazy lately. Most of you know that Robbie had eye surgery over a week ago because he had a detached retina. He is doing well but still in recovery mode. The doc said he can't go back to work for 2 more weeks!! Last week was the most challenging because he had to remain face down at all times except when he was eating or putting drops in his eyes. He had a good visit this past Friday and now he just has to sleep on his right side. The boys did really well having Robbie at home but not able to do much with them. They loved his bed (aka the massage table we borrowed) and they watched movies or TV with him a couple of times. Here is a picture:

Scott has his head through the crescent shaped pillow that Robbie had to sleep on to remain face down

Tyler has had 2 baseball games and did well. Scott has had a couple of soccer games but has been a little hesitant about staying out on the field for too long. He promises us next week he will get out there and play. We'll see! Greyson is growing like a weed! He is eating rice cereal now and loves it. We have been working on his sleeping habits over the last week. For a baby that slept through the night pretty early, he has gotten off track lately. I think it has to do with our crazy schedules. We are getting there and I'm starting to feel a little more sane now! Here are just a few recent pictures of everyone:

Yummy cereal!

I love to eat my toes....I'll do anything to get to them!

Greyson loves his new exersaucer....a big thanks to Mary Anne and Sarah Gray for passing it down to him to enjoy!

We went to visit Katie in Spartanburg on Friday since Tyler was out of school. They had a blast rolling down the huge hill next to her house!
