Tyler is 7!

Our sweet Tyler turned 7 this past Wednesday. Wow, 7! Why does he keep growing up and why does each year seem to pass so quickly? It feels like we were just in Disney World celebrating his 6th birthday! We started off the day with our tradion of a pancake breakfast. He opened a remote control car from the 4 of us and was able to play with it a little before school. Mimi, Greyson and I joined him at school for lunch (at 10:30 I might add...so early!). We took him a Chick-fil-a kids meal and I made cupcakes for his class. After school, we went and got ice cream and then had some play time at Monkey Joes. Robbie cancelled his baseball practice that day so that he could get home early and we could spend some time together. Tyler chose Olive Garden and his supper choice. After supper we went to Mimi and Pop's house because Mimi made Tyler a requested strawberry cake and they had presents for him to open. It was a great for him as he turned 7!

On Friday night we had Tyler's birthday party at Robbie's baseball game. It was all boys and they had a blast! They ran around like crazy and loved the atmosphere. The boys ran the bases and were paired with one of Robbie's players to run out to their position and sing the National Anthem. Scott and another child were a little hesitant and just watched but all of the other boys loved every minute of "being a big kid". We enjoyed hot dogs and cake during the game and then the boys broke a pinata. It was a great birthday party! We missed 5 boys who couldn't be there but had a great time with those that were able to come.

A little bit about Tyler: He is in first grade and doing great! His passions right now are drawing and riding his bike. He is taking art lessons afterschool in a group with one of the school art teachers. So far he has created an amazing drawing of a baseball player. He really is gifted in the area of drawing and amazes me at his talent at such a young age. He is a great big brother to 2 little brothers. Yes, he gets annoyed with them as only brothers can do, but he really does love to help them and teach them. Tyler currently isn't playing any sports but will play coaches pitch through SOAR in May and June. He is still a little shy but has really come out of his shell more and more. He's making some good friends in his class and I'm so glad to see that. Tyler is a great little boy and we are very proud of him.

Good Morning and Happy 7th Birthday!

Friday Night Fun

Last Friday night the boys and I met Robin for supper and then went to part of Robbie's baseball game. I was able to take some sweet pictures of the boys...some with Robbie in the picture and some with him in the background. Greyson loved hanging out at the fence in view of Robbie and the baseball field! Tyler and Scott love hanging out in the dugout where they can be near Robbie and be apart of what goes on.

Sweet Memories

Tyler, Scott and Greyson are doing great. We've battled a little sickness here and there and it's still hanging around, but it doesn't seem to slow them down too much!

Tyler lost another tooth at the end of February. He had been working on the tooth for a couple of weeks but just never would get the courage to pull it. Well, Greyson took care of that for him! Greyson and Tyler were "wrestling" on the ground one night and Greyson grabbed at Tyler's mouth. Apparently he got a hold of Tyler's tooth because it came out! Robbie said that maybe Greyson will be a dentist one day. :)

Scott officially learned to ride his bike without training wheels tonight! Robbie and Pop have been trying to convince him to try it but he just hadn't gotten the courage to quite yet. Pop had to do some repairs on Scott's bike so he brought it back to him tonight. It didn't have the training wheels on it, so Pop told Scott to hop on. Scott didn't even think twice and he took off! He wore Pop out running beside him because he wasn't expecting it at all! Tyler and I were cheering him on and some of the neighborhood children chimed in too. Scott was so excited although the look on his face said "Am I really doing this?" Robbie wasn't home but we called him right away to tell him!

Greyson turned 10 months old last Sunday. He's not walking yet but everyday he gets a little closer. He will walk while you hold his hands and he has just recently started standing on his own for a few seconds. I can't believe he will 1 in less than 2 months! I keep telling him to slow down but he won't listen! :)

We are really enjoying the nice weather lately! Here are a few recent pictures.

Tyler and Scott recently went along with Robbie and his baseball team to one of their games. They got to ride in the bus and thought it was so cool!

A few weekends ago Robbie ran in a half marathon!! He did a great job!

A trip to the zoo

We went to visit my sweet Mema on Saturday. She and Greyson walked hand in hand.

My cousin Ashleigh is amazing with babies and children. Greyson loved having her attention on Saturday at Mema's. She was holding him near a bowl of fruit, and Greyson reached over and grabbed a pear and started gnawing on it! It was hilarious! He ended up eating almost the entire thing! :)

First wagon ride...we have the wagon that has no seat belts which wasn't a problem with Tyler or Scott when they were little. Well, I have another project for Pop to install some sort of strap to hold Greyson down! He thinks he needs to try and climb out....oh one of the many ways he is oh so different from his big brothers! :)

In no time Scott was riding totally by himself!

Hot shot

Greyson is really on the go! He is a busy body and rarely still! He has been scooting or crawling since he was 6 months old. Shortly after that he started pulling up and cruising the furniture. Now over the last several weeks he has learned to push his walking toy and walk holding our fingers. I can still see Tyler walking behind this same walking toy (tear!). Here are some pics of the hot shot showing off this morning! I just love him! He is so cute and just lights up a room with his amazing grin...ok that was a mommy bragging moment but you all understand, right?!

Snow, snow and more snow!

Wow, we actually got snow this year! It's something we've been wanting all winter and it finally came! Poor Tyler had strep throat yesterday and was a sick little boy. So, he was only able to enjoy watching the snow fall from the window. But, thank the Lord for good medicine because he "felt like my old self" (quote from him at 5am this morning) by today! The boys had a blast in the snow having snow ball fights, shoveling the snow, playing on their swing set, and building a snowman. Greyson loved watching the snow falling from the window on Friday afternoon. One time I walked away from the window with him and he started to get upset! It was cute! Here are some pictures from our time in the snow:

Boys Oh Boys!

Greyson is 9 months old today! Wow, I can't believe in just 3 short months he will be one year old! He has got to slow down...but doesn't seem to be following my request! :( Each phase/age/milestone only gets better. He's at a fun age right now because so many things can make him smile. Of course he gets worked up about things when he's hungry, doesn't want to be in his carseat any longer, or wants me to hold him, but overall he loves to play, play, play. He's discovering more and more each day and he can't be left alone for any time at all because he's very curious. He keeps us on our toes! He's pulling up and cruising the furniture. Just the other day he was standing up holding onto my knee with only one hand. I have a feeling it won't be long before those first steps take way! He continues to adore his big brothers and enjoys watching their every move. He loves it when they come barreling in his room when he first wakes up in the morning or from a nap. As you will see in a picture below, they love to get into his crib with him! Greyson had tubes 2 1/2 weeks ago and they have been so wonderful! After 4 months of not sleeping through the night consistently, he is back to the great sleeper he was for the first 4 months of life. Yay! He has 3 teeth and is continuing to work on more. He still loves to eat! :)

Scott is still my sweet, funny Scott. He never ceases to say something funny EVERY day! He makes me laugh and he doesn't even mean to most of the time. I just love his sense of humor and the joy he brings to life. He is doing great in school and enjoys telling me about all the fun things they do. Last week was circus week and he got to dress up like a clown. We created our own clown costume with some face paint and a bow tie that Tyler and I made. There is a picture below of what he looked like! Scott's favorite things right now are playing the Wii (he is so good at it and cracks us up!) and riding his bike. Pop is trying to convince him to take the training wheels off because we all feel like he's ready, but he's still a little aprehensive.

Tyler is still my sweet, creative Tyler. He is doing great in school and is about to have some neat opportunities come his way. He is one of 7 students in his school that gets to participate in a special project with the technology specialist. He is really excited! He is also taking art lessons afterschool one day a week and loves it! Drawing is a huge passion of his. Tyler will soon be 7 years old at the end of March. He is getting excited about the Scooby Doo Baseball party we are planning for him. He is growing up so fast! Another big love of Tyler's is dogs. He and I are currently working on creating a book about Dogs A-Z. He wants a dog so bad, but there are some things holding us back. Tyler only has 2 allergies and one of them happens to be pet dander. But, hopefully in the near future we can have an outside dog. Katie and Mark have a dog and yesterday they came for a visit. Tyler was in heaven! He walked her on the leash, played fetch with her, and just adored her! It was so sweet! She is a short haired dog (a pointer) so his allergies didn't seem to act up, yay! Below is sweet picture of them.

Updates

I've had "update the blog" on my to do list for at least 2 weeks now! It always seems to be pushed aside to take care of other things! Instead of writing a bunch I'm just going to post some pictures from Christmas, cousin time when my niece was here, Tyler's loosing a tooth and Greyson turning 8 months old! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year's! We are looking forward to what 2010 has to hold!

We went to visit Katie and Mark before Christmas and they let the boys take a bath in their amazing tube that made millions of bubbles! They thought it was the greatest thing ever! :)

While waiting at a stop light I captured this sweet moment of Scott and Greyson holding hands in the back seat!

8 month picture: He is crawling and pulling up and all over the place! He loves to eat, eat, eat! He's a happy boy who doesn't want to miss a thing. He got his first 2 teeth on Christmas Eve and the day after Christmas. He loves to suck his thumb, too!

Toothless Tyler...he lost his first official tooth on Jan 3. His first tooth he lost was an accident over a year and a half ago. So, this was the first one that actually came out on it's own. The tooth fairy made a visit and was a great way to start off the school year in 2010! :)
