Life=Crazy Lately

Well, it's been several weeks since I've updated our blog and I guess that's because life has been a little crazy lately. Most of you know that Robbie had eye surgery over a week ago because he had a detached retina. He is doing well but still in recovery mode. The doc said he can't go back to work for 2 more weeks!! Last week was the most challenging because he had to remain face down at all times except when he was eating or putting drops in his eyes. He had a good visit this past Friday and now he just has to sleep on his right side. The boys did really well having Robbie at home but not able to do much with them. They loved his bed (aka the massage table we borrowed) and they watched movies or TV with him a couple of times. Here is a picture:

Tyler has had 2 baseball games and did well. Scott has had a couple of soccer games but has been a little hesitant about staying out on the field for too long. He promises us next week he will get out there and play. We'll see! Greyson is growing like a weed! He is eating rice cereal now and loves it. We have been working on his sleeping habits over the last week. For a baby that slept through the night pretty early, he has gotten off track lately. I think it has to do with our crazy schedules. We are getting there and I'm starting to feel a little more sane now! Here are just a few recent pictures of everyone:

Yummy cereal!

I love to eat my toes....I'll do anything to get to them!

Scott giving Greyson some sort of silly instructions! Greyson thought he was pretty funny!

Greyson loves his new exersaucer....a big thanks to Mary Anne and Sarah Gray for passing it down to him to enjoy!

We went to visit Katie in Spartanburg on Friday since Tyler was out of school. They had a blast rolling down the huge hill next to her house!

Greyson is 4 months old

Greyson is 4 months old today!! We went for his well visit this morning and he's up to 13lbs 3oz and 25 inches long. He's doing really well and has developed such a fun little personality. He smiles at anyone who looks his way and babbles and coos at them. He loves people! He's rolling over some and starting to teethe. He has found his thumb recently and it's cute to watch him suck on it. He loves his big brothers and is in tune to all that they are doing. He is such a joy and a blessing to our family! We couldn't imagine life without him! Here are some recent pictures:

Preschool, Soccer, Football, etc

Well, Scott's first soccer practice was Monday night and his 1st day of preschool was today. And let me just say that both were very tearful for him! He cried at the start of soccer practice and cried this morning at preschool, but he ended up being ok and having a blast!
He and I went on Monday morning for him to meet his new teachers and he loved his new room. He had me follow him everywhere around the room and stay close by his side so, I knew I was in for it this morning. Sure enough he started crying before we even left home saying "I don't want to go to school." After telling him a million times how much fun it was going to be, etc, he still wasn't convinced. But, right after his teacher took him in crying he calmed down and was fine. When I went to his classroom to pick him up, he grinned and waved. I was so happy to see his smile! I asked his teacher if he smiled and had fun and she said he did! Scott is just Scott and sometimes you get a smile out of him but other times he just isn't going to give you one because he just doesn't want to! Oh my little red head!

Soccer practice was so cute on Monday night. After he got past his hesitations, he went right out there and had fun. His team's name is the Pandas. Here are a few pictures from the last couple of days:

Off to soccer practice

Playing in his new classroom on Monday morning

My attempt to take a picture of him before school this morning. He did not want it taken! I'll be showing this to him in years to come for sure...this may be a good one for his rehearsal dinner slide show one day!

Scott's fan club at soccer practice!

We went to Robbie's 1st football game a couple of weeks ago and the boys had a chance to go into the "box" with their daddy! They thought it was so cool!

Greyson's first football game!! It's only just begun!

Scott going after the ball! He actually scored a goal for his team when they played during practice!

Stay tuned for more posts next week as Greyson turns 4 months old on Monday and Tyler has his first baseball practice playing Coaches Pitch! Have a great rest of the week everyone!
